Is your home affected by the huge electricity pylons being proposed across the north of Fenland?

Pylons which are up to 50 metres high will impact on property valuations, cause traffic disruption during construction and spoil views of the Fens landscape, and it is concerning that there has been little information about the scheme, and the likely compensation proposed is inadequate.

The better alternative would be for the cables to be buried which would offer a stronger long-term solution, but this is currently rejected on cost grounds.

If you live in and around Tydd St Giles, Newton, Four Gotes and the nearby area, you may be particularly impacted by these huge pylons.  More information can be found by visiting National Grid’s website at: nationalgrid.com/the-great-grid-upgrade/grimsby-to-walpole

Whether or not large pylons near your home are a concern to you, it would be helpful to hear your views so I can represent them in my discussions with National Grid and the Government. Please share your thoughts via my survey below
