Wisbech St Mary 3G

It is fantastic news that Wisbech St Mary Sports and Community Centre is now fully funded to go ahead with its state of the art 3G full size football pitch.

Following extensive community fundraising by the Wisbech St Mary’s Community Centre, Wisbech St Mary Football Club and support from the Hudson Tryst which together raised a fantastic £156,000, the club has now secured just under a million pounds in grants (£978,583) from a combination of the Government funded Football Foundation, the Premier League, and The FA.

This state of the art new facility will make an enormous difference in enabling sports opportunities for more people across a wide range of age groups locally. Grassroots sport is something I am passionate about supporting and securing this grant is a huge tribute to the work of Paul Albutt, Martin Holmes and Katie Critchley from the Cambs FA.
