Back in 2018, I visited Leverington Sports & Social Club and heard about the Club’s ambitious vision to transform part of their field into a 3G pitch. Fast forward to July 2022, and that vision became a reality with the addition of a 3G pitch. The club raised an incredible £120,000, with the remaining funding generously provided by the Football Foundation.
But they didn’t stop there.
Following the success of the 3G pitch, the club set their sights on renovating the changing facilities, with these now successively delivered. It’s a fantastic achievement that will benefit players, families, and the whole community.
Well done to Matthew Warren, Steve Fisher, Wayne Garner and Steve Harley and everyone at the club for their dedication and hard work over the years, and to Katie Critchley from Cambs FA. It is a great set of facilities delivered through their hard work.
