Fenland’s Golden Age Fairs are a fantastic way of bringing lots of local groups together to support older residents, and so it was great to join over 30 organisations at the Christmas edition at the Hudson Leisure Centre.

Thanks to the year 1 students from Wisbech Grammar School who sung carols, to Santa who came to hand out some of the 200 gift wrapped boxes, and to all the helpers who gave their time.

Cllr Mac Cotterell who first launched the golden age fairs in 2003 for anyone over the age of 60 would I am sure be pleased at how this innovation has gone from strength to strength.
