Post Offices
Steve is campaigning against the closure of local post offices across Cambridgeshire. Steve helped launch the campaign on Saturday 12th July to keep Little Downham post office in East Cambridgeshire open.
Across Fenland District Council four post offices are also under threat of closure, in Wisbech, March, Christchurch and Benwick.
Steve is liaising closely with Malcolm Moss MP and with County Councillor Fred Yeulett, Chairman of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Post Office Network Change Group which brings together the County Council, Peterborough City Council, the five District Councils, Postwatch East, Cambridgeshire Acre and business and rural community support partners to ensure Post Office Ltd have all the revenant information on the nature and needs of communities in Cambridgeshire. Cllr Yeulett is hosting a public meeting at Fenland District Council on 15th July 6pm to 8pm to discuss the issue further.
If you will be affected by the proposed closure of your local post office, please send an e-mail to Steve with the details and he will be happy to pass this to Malcolm Moss MP, or contact Malcolm direct (see links section).
