Robert Sears - Agricultural Liaison Officer
Our family has been associated with Manea for many generations. I took over the day to day running of the family farm some 25 years ago having previously worked for an ex-President of our Association, John Allpress, at Whitworth's in Chatteris. I have been involved, as an office holder, for several years finally standing down as Chairman this year.
Away from local politics I sit on various other committees and am currently on the Policy Committee for The Country Landowners and Business Association (CLA) with a remit to investigate the future of Renewable Energy as against Food Security and the Environment.
For relaxation I try and play Golf and enjoy flying light aircraft. As an MCC member, having hung my cricket boots up, I enjoy trips to Lord's to follow England.
